The bus is coming.
All Blacks and Hurricanes winger Julian Savea is set to leave New Zealand in a big-money move according to reports in France this afternoon.
Savea, who has been frozen out of the All Blacks set-up in recent months, is set to complete a blockbuster move to French giants Toulon on a two-year deal as they look to bounce back from a disappointing season.
The three-time European champions already brought in a new head coach in former La Rochelle boss Patrice Collazo, and also have another All Black in Liam Messam joining them next season. But they’ve also lost the services of Ma’a Nonu, Semi Radradra and Duane Vermeulen ahead of next season.
Savea’s move is expected to be officially announced later today, and may pave the way for a Chris Ashton exit, with the England international reportedly seeking an early release from his contract.
