Former Munster scrumhalf Mike Prendergast is set for an immediate return to the Top 14 after recently leaving his position with relegated Oyonnax.
The former Young Munster director of rugby is set to join head coach Heneke Meyer at the newly-invigorated Stade Francais according to a report by The42. Stade, backed by German billionaire owner Hans-Peter Wild have ambitious plans to return to the top of French rugby after a disappointing season.
Along with former Springboks coach Meyer, they’ve brought in the likes of Argentine playmaker Nicolas Sanchez and France internationals Yoann Maestri and Gael Fickou. They’ve also been linked with a move for South Africa prop Tendai ‘Beast’ Mtawarira.
Exciting times ahead for both Stade and Prendergast.
