Man down.
Ireland captain Rory Best has been ruled out of next month’s tour of Australia after failing to recover from a hamstring injury.
Best picked up the problem in training ahead of Ulster’s Champions Cup play-off clash with Ulster a couple of weeks back and missed the northern province’s win.
Munster’s Niall Scannell has been called up as a replacement.
Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt says vice-captains Peter O’Mahony and Johnny Sexton may share the captaincy for the tour.
