Taking a break.
Former All Blacks centre Ma’a Nonu has announced he is leaving French giants Toulon in a shock move.
The 36-year-old legendary centre says he is putting his rugby career on hold and stepping away from the game indefinitely for family reasons. He has made no mention of retirement.
In a statement released by the Top 14 outfit on Tuesday, the Rugby World Cup winner who joined Toulon in 2015, was a confirmed departure.
“Toulon warmly thanks Ma’a Nonu for his involvement and commitment during these three seasons and wishes him and his family the best for the future,” said Toulon on their website.
