“Hell.”
You might remember a few months back Wallabies fullback Israel Folau posted a controversial Tweet in relation to the gay marriage vote in Australia, stating he does not condone same sex marriage.
The 28-year-old Waratahs star is a devout Christian, who grew up as a Mormon before leaving to join a smaller church in 2011. In the tweet he said he loves and respects everyone for their opinions but that he would not support same sex marriage.
I love and respect all people for who they are and their opinions. but personally, I will not support gay marriage.✌❤🙏

Now whether you agree with his views on same sex marriage or not (Gareth Thomas certainly did not), he’s perfectly entitled to them. If he doesn’t want to support same sex marriage, then so be it.
But he’s gone too far this time as far as a lot of people are concerned. In his original tweet above he says he ‘loves and respect all people for who they are and their opinions.’
Yet now in an Instagram post when asked about “gods plan for gay people”, Folau responded:
“HELL.. Unless they repent their sins and turn to God.”
Doesn't quite fit with Israel Folau's "I love and respect all people for who they are and their opinions" line from last year. pic.twitter.com/A023XnxRBd

Understandably his now deleted comment, has not gone down well.
Israel Folau is at it again.
Gay people are going to hell apparently.
He wasn't available for comment.
As he was too busy drowning witches.

Israel Folau says Hell is God's plan for gay people. Somebody should ask him whether slavery is God's plan for black people. (Genesis 9.27). Slavers certainly argued this.

Soooooo Isreal Folau is a bit of dick then.

Honestly, there really is nothing worse than a born-again fundie, I don't care what religion they are. Israel Folau is just one in a long lineup of Australian sports stars who publicly belittle the LGBT community.

Israel Folau. Wonderful player. Shame he's a massive homophobe. https://t.co/dUkVYJXhzX

Pretty gross when Australia's highest profile rugby player is a proud homophobe. I just left the cinema after watching Love, Simon, and it was amazing and uplifting. This kind of shit spouted by Folau is why we need more representation in mainstream media.

New business idea: a gay nightclub called hell next door to Israel Folau's house.
