Sergio Parisse Set To Reach One Of The Worst Milestones In The History Of Rugby

Centurion.

Sergio Parisse is on course to reach one of the worst milestones in the history of rugby. The Italy captain will reach 100 Test losses should his side lose to Scotland in their final 2018 Six Nations fixture this weekend.

The Azzurri have failed to win a game yet in this year’s competition, and all signs point towards them losing in Rome again this weekend. Parisse already owns the record for Test match losses, but rounding it off to a tidy 100 is even more demoralising.

Parisse is the fifth most capped Test player of all-time, with 133 games played for his country. He has won 33 times and lost 99 times, meaning he has lost three times as many games as he’s won in a blue jersey.

No doubt he is one of the all-time greatest players. But this is one of the all-time worst records.
