Bonus-point.
Ireland are still unbeaten at this year’s Six Nations, after securing a try-bonus win over Wales at the Aviva Stadium this afternoon.
Chris Farrell was immense on his Six Nations debut, while young James Ryan put in another huge performance, as did his Leinster teammate Andrew Porter.
Here are your player ratings.
Rob Kearney – 6
Another pretty average performance from the fullback. Lacklustre in attack and caught out in defence a number of times.
Keith Earls – 8
Strange decision taking him off. Looked electric whenever he got his hands on the ball and covered well in defence.
Chris Farrell – 9
Deservedly named MOTM in a storming display. Carried unbelievably well with some beautiful passes too. Excellent Six Nations debut for the Munster centre.
Bundee Aki – 7
Poor opening thirty minutes but worked his way into the game. Took his try very well.
Jacob Stockdale – 7.5
Two excellent tries but still needs to work on his defence. Getting better every time he puts on a green jersey
Johnny Sexton – 8
He may have been off with his boot, but he controlled the game very well other than that. An off-day for the Leinster man, but still took Wales apart.
Conor Murray – 8
Quiet in the first-half, but like Aki worked his way into the game. Controlled his forwards well.
Cian Healy – 7.5
Some big carries and an overall excellent shift from the loosehead.
Rory Best – 7
Only missed one line-out throw and was very busy in the loose. Good game from the captain
Andrew Porter – 8.5
The young tighthead came into the game with a world of pressure on his shoulders. Good job they’re like boulders. Super game.
Devin Toner – 7
Good solid game from the giant lock
James Ryan – 8.5
Very impressive shift from the youngster. He’s getting better and better every week. What a player he’s set to become.
Peter O’Mahony – 7
Quiet by his usual high standards, but still a very good game.
Dan Leavy – 8
A monster at the breakdown. A real out and out seven. Great game.
CJ Stander – 9
Some monster carries, his work rate was almost superhuman.
Replacements:
John Ryan won a huge penalty, while Cronin and McGrath were also solid.
McFadden was quite poor when he got on, but Jack Conan made some big carries.
Quinn Roux also featured, while Joey Carbery nailed his only kick, albeit in front of the posts.
