Wanted man.
Leinster coach Stuart Lancaster has been approached by the Ospreys to replace the sacked Steve Tandy, according to a report by WalesOnline.
The former England boss has been working with Leinster for the last couple of seasons, and has become a hugely popular figure in Ireland. He recently signed a new deal, but given his pedigree has been constantly linked with head coach roles.
The attempt to lure Lancaster appears to have failed however, due to commuting issues. Lancaster and his family are based in Leeds, with the coach regularly commuting back and forth to Dublin.
Flights are regular, and usually only an hour direct. But there are no flights direct to Cardiff from Leeds. Lancaster would have to go via Belfast or the Netherlands and this appears to be a stumbling block as he does not want to uproot his family.
Good news for Leinster fans. Not so good for Ospreys fans.
