Scotland Edge Past France Thanks To The Immaculate Boot Of Greig Laidlaw

Back in business.

Scotland have got their 2018 Six Nations campaign back on track with a hard-fought 32-26 win over France in Murrayfield.

Les Blues came out of the blocks fastest with two early tries from winger Teddy Thomas. But the Scots fought back with two scores of their own through Sean Maitland and Huw Jones.

It was Greig Laidlaw’s efforts from the boot though, than ensured victory for Gregor Townsend’s men. The Clermont scrumhalf kicked 22 points in total which proved to be crucial.

Having been battered by Wales at Cardiff last week, the Scottish showed some great character, especially considering France lead at half-time. But question marks still surround their leaky defence.

Up next is a visit of England to Murray field in a fortnight’s time. Eddie Jones’ men are still very much favourites for the clash, but don’t rule out the Scottish just yet.
