The Moyross Express.
Keith Earls was interviewed earlier this week about his current run of form, with the Munster winger joking it’s taken him 10 years to finally “find himself” in rugby.
Earls said he was obsessed with being big, then being skinny. But now is finally happy and just enjoying his rugby. It’s showed on the pitch, and when Ronan O’Gara was asked about Earls in the TV3 studio today, he couldn’t compliment him enough.
“As you know I don’t get too excited easily….” O’Gara said.
“I’m unbelievably excited to talk about Keith Earls, I absolutely love this guy.”
“I think everything good about Munster Rugby and Irish Rugby is reflected in Keith Earls.”
“He has unbelievable values. He’s an absolutely great guy, full of doubts, full of insecurities. Yet he has managed to excel on the world stage and represent the people of Moyross.
“It means so much to him I think, to wear the red jersey, to wear a green jersey. And I’ve goosepimples talking about him because he’s a guy I really, really care about.”
“I really like Edel (Keith’s wife), I really like his family, his father (Ger) particularly, a hard Young Munster wing forward.”
“But for Keith there’s one comment that sticks in my mind… When Doug Howlett said he’d ‘never seen acceleration like that.”
