Running out of time.
Ulster Rugby have released a statement revealing they are no longer proceeding with a deal to bring in former All Blacks outhalf Stephen Donald on a short-term deal, after receiving a medical report on the player
Donal was due to replace Christian Lealiifano who played his final game for the province yesterday, but now the northern province are in a position where they might not be able to get any player in as a replacement.
Unfortunately, Ulster Rugby is not in a position to proceed with the signing of Stephen Donald, after receiving a medical report on the player yesterday (Sunday).
Stephen had agreed a short-term deal to join the Province, but he sustained an injury while representing his club in the final game of the Japanese season, which will rule him out for 4+ weeks.
The timeline now makes it very difficult to find a suitable replacement, but we will continue to monitor the market.
Another huge blow for the province who are still licking their wounds after being dumped out of the Champions Cup yesterday.
