Money talks.
All Blacks and Highlanders outhalf Lima Sopoaga is reportedly heading to England at the end of the year, according to a report in The Times newspaper.
The 26-year-old has signed a two-year deal with Dai Young’s Wasps, effectively ruling him out of selection for next year’s Rugby World Cup in Japan
Sopoaga has played 16 tests for the All Blacks, including his debut match against South Africa in 2015, and a lack of game time no doubt swayed his decision to leave New Zealand.
Wasps have acted to bring in the talented playmaker as Danny Cipriani is said to also be frustrated with his lack of selection for England. The former Sale outhalf is set for a big money move to France at the end of the season.
Sopoaga’s deal is said to be worth in the region of £850k-a-season.
