On the move.
Edinburgh have been forced to move Friday night’s crucial Challenge Cup Pool 4 fixture with French giants Stade Francais to BT Murrayfield, as the pitch at Myreside needs further time to recover.
Pitch protection work has been ongoing at Myreside following last weekend’s 37-7 win over Southern Kings. However, due to the extra-ordinary weather circumstances over the past week and during the match against the Southern Kings itself, it has been decided the pitch needs further time to sufficiently recover.
This weekend’s match presents an opportunity to secure a place in the quarter-finals, so after relevant consultation, it has been agreed that the move to BT Murrayfield provided the best possible surface on which to perform, a statement read.
Friday night’s match marks a rematch of last season’s European Challenge Cup clash in which 14-man Edinburgh battled back from 20-3 down to eventually defeat the Parisian outfit 28-23 in a famous win
All existing match tickets are valid and tickets continue to be available for purchase online up until kick-off.
