Points machines.
Beauden Barrett was recently named World Rugby Player of the Year for the second consecutive year running, and for good measure according to theses stats.
Peter Jackson in The Rugby Paper has looked through the stats books and crunched the numbers, to come up with the top 10 Test points scorers of 2017.
All Black Barrett tops the charts with a whopping 170 points, 36 points ahead of his nearest challenger Wallaby Bernard Foley. South Africa’s Elton Jantjies caps off the top 3, while England’s Owen Farrell and Argentina’s Nicholas Sanches make the top 5.
The likes of Finn Russell and Leigh Halfpenny make the top 10, but there’s no place for Ireland’s Jonny Sexton, the only home nations kicker to not make the list.
