The inaugural Guinness PRO14 final will be held in the Aviva Stadium on May 26, 2018 according to a reports today by BBC Sport.
Last season’s PRO12 decider was held in the same venue, which has a 51,700 capacity, with Welsh side Scarlets defeating Irish province Munster.
Cardiff’s Principality Stadium was also considered before Dublin was selected to host the match on 26 May. Apparently the Principality Stadium pitch will have been taken up before the final, in preparation for hosting music events in the summer.
Ireland have staged seven out of the eight finals since play-offs were introduced for the 2009-10 campaign.
