Heading home.
Leigh Halfpenny’s future has been a huge talking point in recent weeks, with the Lions fullback currently unemployed after he was let go by Toulon at the end of last season.
The Welshman’s massive wage has proved to be a bit of a sticking point, with Scarlets and Cardiff Blues distancing themselves from a move for him, while Dai Young’s Wasps stated his indecision forced them to look elsewhere.
It’s now being reported however. that Halfpenny may be returning home with the Cardiff Blues after all. Midi Olympique are reporting that a deal is close to being finalised between the two parties, with Halfpenny’s future finally sorted.
The deal will of course be a dual contract with the WRU, with Halfpenny expected to take a large pay cut.
