This is why we love rugby.
The Lions forwards decided to have a bit of fun at training today, by playing a brilliant prank on the backs. Gatland’s forwards finished up their session a bit earlier than the backs and used it as an excellent opportunity to wind them up.
The forwards decided to tie all the backs shoelaces together and threw their runners all around the place back in the changing room. Gatland says he’s not too sure who’s responsible but England prop Mako Vunipola is getting the blame!
Lock Maro Itoje was asked about the incident, to which he replied:
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Centre Ben Te’o had this to say when asked if the back are plotting revenge:
“Yeah I think the boys, we’re going to get together and have a little meeting. I actually don’t have any laces at the moment, so it would be nice if they could return them!”
"The backs weren't too happy coming from training this morning…" #ShoelaceGate
