Northampton Saints are eyeing up Lions star Ross Moriarty to replace Louis Picamoles.
Picamoles transfer back to France with Montpellier was confirmed this week with Northampton pocketing a massive transfer fee believed to be in the region of €1,000,000 due to the back-row having two years to run on his deal with the English club.
Moriarty is currently on Lions duty and made an impressive debut yesterday, and The Rugby Paper are reporting that Northampton will look to buy him out of his final year of his contract with Gloucester when he returns from New Zealand.
The Welshman has been linked with a return home on a dual-contract with one of the regions, but no offer has officially been made. Moriarty has previously said he will honour the final year of his contract.
Saints are also said to be eyeing up a move for Sergio Parisse should a move for Moriarty fail to materialise, with the Italian captain said to be ready to leave Stade Francais.
