The British & Irish Lions bid farewell last night as they jetted out to New Zealand this morning.
A farewell event at the Roundhouse music venue in London last night gave Warren Gatland’s side a chance to enjoy a relaxed evening before their gruelling ten match tour of New Zealand.
Suited and booted in their burgundy blazers the Lions waited until the end of the night to show off the choir skills they’ve been practising in camp for the last couple of weeks.
A rousing rendition of the Fields of Athenry was offered up to a rapturous applause. If they can play rugby half as good as they can sing, then there’s no fear of them in New Zealand!
