Watch: This Is What Happens When You Put A Scrumhalf In A Lineout

A handy lineout option for Sale Sharks next season.

The Lions outclassed a hapless Bulls side, running out 51-14 winners in a one-side South African Super Rugby derby played in Johannesburg yesterday.

Ruan Combrinck was a late change to the Lions side, coming in for the injured Sylvian Mahuza on the wing and he was on the scoreboard as early as the first minute, crossing for the first of the home side’s seven tries on the night. With only 37% of the possession and territory the Bulls were simply never in the game as their South African rivals ran riot.

The Lions provided us with some excellent highlights throughout the game, but none as interesting as this clever lineout. Scrumhalf Faf de Klerk was used as the jumper in one set-piece, with his lifters launching him into the air to claim the ball. The Sale bound scrumhalf’s feet ended up above the shoulders of anyone else, in a clever move!
