What a day for the Irish provinces.
The Guinness PRO12 awards are taking place in Dublin tonight with the Irish provinces completely dominating the awards categories. Leinster’s Joey Carbery scooped the Young Player of the Year award after an incredible debut season, while Munster and Ulster also picked up awards.
Ulster’s Ruan Pienaar won the Try of the Year award for his incredible effort against Glasgow, while Munster’s Rassie Erasmus has won Coach of the Year in his first year with the southern province.
New Zealander Charles Piutau has been named Player’s Player of Season, incredibly another man taking part in his first season in the PRO12 having linked up with Ulster during the summer.
Meanwhile Sam Davies scooped the Golden Boot, while Scarlets’ Steff Evans won the Top Try Scorer award.
