Who has impressed you the most this season?
Now that we’re at the business end of the season, with just a couple of rounds to go before with hit the play-offs and crown a champion, it’s time to look back at some of the star performers in this year’s Guinness PRO12.
Thanks to Opta’s performance statistics we can reveal who have been the most influential players up to now.
Some of the interesting ones that struck us include Tiernan O’Halloran’s incredible carries and metres made figures. The Connacht fullback has failed to impress Ireland boss Joe Schmidt and must be wondering what else he has to do with these stats. 232 carries and 1705 metres made. Astonishing.
Charles Piutau has also been particularly good, despite a Ulster having a disappointing season. 196 carries and 1219 metres made as well as topping the defenders beaten and offloads charts with 59 and 23 respectively.
