Munster and Ireland lock Donnacha Ryan is set to complete a shock move to Racing 92.
The French outfit, who have former Munster playmaker Ronan O’Gara on their coaching ticket, have reportedly agreed a two-year deal with the lock forward according to the Irish Examiner.
Ryan has arguably enjoyed his best season in red and green this campaign, having played a key role in Munster’s phenomenal run of form as well as Ireland’s excellent November series and Six Nations.
The move will come as a huge blow to both Munster and Ireland, with the province having already lost Dave Foley to the lures of France this week.
Ryan is a key senior figure in the Irish set-up and a move to France will no doubt spell an end to his international career.
