This was always going to happen.
French press are reporting that the Racing 92 and Stade Francais merger may now not go ahead after all.
The players union met with Racing 92 president Jacky lorenzetti this morning in what was described as a ‘heated’ and ‘very tense’ affair with the players making it known that they feel ‘betrayed’ by the club.
The Stade Francais players voted to go on strike yesterday, with players union leader Robins Tchale-Watchou saying that the only way to lift the strike is to stop the merger of the two famous clubs.
Stade Francais president Tom Savare was asked after the meeting if he is still confident of the merger and his only response was ‘we’ll see.’
French press reporting that the SF/Racing 92 merger might not now go ahead. A final decision is likely to be made on Friday

LNR's Paul Goze, "an optimist by nature", says he believes "solution can be found" at Friday's meeting when all parties will be present.
