Midi Olympique are reporting that Northampton have put an enormous offer on the table for Ian Madigan.
The Premiership side are said to be in the market for an experience versatile playmaker, having missed out on the likes of George Ford and Dan Biggar.
They’re also set to lose Irish star JJ Hanrahan at the end of the season.
According to the report, the Saints have offered Madigan a £500k-a-year deal.
Madigan expressed an interest in returning to Ireland next year, which would catapult him back into Joe Schmidt’s view, but after Connacht appeared to turn down any move for him, it seems highly unlikely.
