This is an interesting selection.
Scotland and Lions legend Gavin Hastings has had a go picking his British & Irish Lions XV after the first round of the RBS Six Nations.
The XV is clearly selected based on the weekend’s games and performances, and doesn’t look at the bigger picture, but it’s an interesting selection nonetheless.
Interestingly Hastings has gone with five Irish players in his team, despite their loss to Scotland, with the Scots unsurprisingly having a strong contingent after their heroics over Joe Schmidt’s men. He’s also only got room for two Englishmen in Farrell and Hartley.
Have a look at his selection below and let us know what you think.
