There was some good and bad news for Ireland on the injury front today.

Johnny Sexton is expected to take full-part in training tomorrow after recovering from a calf problem sustained while playing for Leinster in the Champions Cup. The talented playmaker is expected to be joined by Sean O’Brien and Keith Earls who have also both recovered from injury.

The bad news however is that Munster’s Andrew Conway has left the camp after he “aggravated an existing groin complaint” that will prevent him from making his Test debut against Scotland.

Ireland team manager Paul Dean spoke to the press today with the update.

“(Sexton) is making good progress and he’s on track to train tomorrow,” said Dean.

Ireland take on Scotland in their Six Nations opener on Saturday at 2.25pm.
