Jaco Taute has been a revelation at Munster in recent month.
The Springbok centre was signed at the start of the season on an initial loan spell, in the wake of an injury to Francis Saili, but recently extended his deal until the end of the season after Munster got permission from the IRFU.
No player has adapted to the Munster way of living quicker than the South African, who has bagged a number of crucial tries, both in the PRO12 and Champions Cup, with Munster enjoying a terrific run of form.
His performances and the effect he’s had on the Munster dressing room have gone down so well, fans are calling for Taute to sign a long-term deal with the southern province beyond the current season, and they might just get their wish.
Speaking to Murray Kinsella of The42, in an telling interview, the bruising centre has revealed that he can “definitely” see himself remaining at Munster beyond the summer. Excellent news for Munster fans.
