Lucas González Amorosino could be on his way back to Wales to replace the departing Liam Williams.
Saracens announced this morning that Williams would be joining them at the end of the season on a three-year deal despite the Scarlets and the WRU making every effort to keep him in Wales, with a £250,000 dual-contract offer.
Amorosino, the 52-cap Puma, who can play wing and full-back, spent the 2014-15 season with Cardiff Blues, making 12 appearances for the Arms Park outfit. He most recently plied his trade in Europe with a brief stint last year before joining Super Rugby franchise Los Jaguares.
The versatile back made three Test appearances, against France, South Africa and Australia, last year, bringing him past the half-century mark, before missing the autumn tour of Europe due to the birth of his child.
Amorosino hasn’t been included in the Jaguares 2017 squad, and is expected to make the move back to Wales.
