Manu Tuilagi made his first start in almost a year a couple of weeks back as his side the Leicester Tigers took on Munster in Thomond Park. Unfortunately things didn’t quite go to plan that day as his side were demolished 38-0, with Tuilagi sin-binned in the second half.
The return fixture however will be a lot more fondly remember by the centre as while he managed to get binned once again, he put in a performance reminiscent of what made him one of the most feared centre’s in the world and his side grabbed a last-gasp win.
Tuilagi will be hoping he can get back into serious form over the Christmas period and work his way back into the England team come Six Nations, but he’ll have to make a few adjustments to the dinner he and his family had last Christmas.
The Lions centre was speaking to Leicester Mercury reported Martin Crowson ahead of the crucial festive period and revealed the absolute monstrous feed he and his family enjoyed last Christmas.
Safe to say he won’t be able to indulge quite as much this year.
Interviewed Manu today:
Manu: “All of my family came round last Xmas. We had a full 52-kg pig.”
Me: “What was left?”
Manu: “The veggies!” pic.twitter.com/8mnwr27LKg— Martin Crowson (@martin_crowson) December 20, 2016
