The Australian has been a revelation since he took over at the Red Rose, following a disastrous Rugby World Cup campaign under Stuart Lancaster. Jones has revitalised English rugby, guiding them to an a Grand Slam in his first Six Nations.

According to Jones four years is plenty enough.

“Four years is enough. It is emotionally draining,” Jones told The Times.

Jones says he wants England to be the most dominant team in Europe and maybe the world, citing the aura of certain major sports teams as something he hopes to replicate with England in the coming years.

“England should be the most dominant team in Europe. We should think we can beat everyone.”

“I want us to have that attitude: we are dominant, the biggest team in Europe and we play like that. Like the old Manchester United side, the same as the All Blacks – the All Blacks have a couple of points’ head-start in games because people expect to be beaten by them.

“I want our team to have that. I think we are getting there.”
