Munster’s Dave Kilcoyne could be set to leave the province.
The talented loosehead has returned to form this year after a disappointing couple of seasons, working his way back into the Irish set-u for the game against Canada, but still finds himself down the pecking order behind the likes of Cian Healy and Jack McGrath.
Midi Olympique are now reporting that he could be set to cash in on a move to France with the likes of La Rochelle and Racing Metro interested in his services. Clermont are said to be admirers of the Limerick man also, but have reportedly dropped out of the race.
Munster have been linked with Leinster’s loosehead prospect Andrew Porter in recent days, perhaps suggesting they are preparing for Kilcoyne’s impending departure. A move at this stage of his career, with an Ireland call-up unlikely would make sense for the front-row.
How much of a blow would this be to Munster?
