The grand slam hunt is on.
Ireland take on Australia tomorrow hoping to bounce back from defeat at the hands of the All Blacks last week. Should Ireland manage to do so they will not only lift spirits and lay down a marker, but they will once again create history.
Ireland travelled down south to face the Springboks back in June in search of a first ever win on South African soil and were successful. Up next was a daunting trip to face Chicago to face the mighty All Blacks and with it came a memorable first win over New Zealand after 111 years of trying.
Tomorrow Joe Schmidt’s men face Michael Cheika’s Wallabies hoping to complete a first ever southern hemisphere grand slam in their history. Australia are in search of a November grand slam of their own so tomorrow promises to be an absolute cracker.
RTE will broadcast the game live once again tomorrow and have once again encapsulated what’s on the line perfectly.
