Ireland will be looking to bounce back this weekend with a win over Michael Cheika’s Wallabies.
Cheika is no stranger to Dublin having spent a number of years with Leinster, leading them to a Heineken Cup and a PRO12 title in his time there. The Australian will have coached and come up against a number of Joe Schmidt’s current crop of players.
Schmidt is without the likes of Robbie Henshaw and Johnny Sexton this week but has plenty in reserve with a number of player’s staking their claim for starting spots during the November internationals.
The New Zealander is expected to leave it as you were against the All Blacks for the Australia game when it comes to the pack. CJ Stander has reportedly recovered from a concussion and will take his spot at six. Peter O’Mahony has been released back to Munster while Iain Henderson will once again have to make do with a spot on the bench.
In the back-line, Schmidt is expected to make two changes, both as a result of injuries with Ulster pair of Paddy Jackson and Luke Marshall coming in for Sexton and Henshaw respectively.
