Maori All Blacks Head Coach Pays Munster The Highest Of Compliments

You’ll find it difficult to find anything more important than rugby to New Zealanders.

The southern nation live, breathe, eat and sleep rugby from a very young age. As a result, they’re the best in the world at it. Ask anyone in the world what’s the first thing that comes to mind when you raise the topic of rugby, and you can almost guarantee they’ll say the All Blacks.

The province of Munster is another area in the world where rugby means everything. Their famous province is known all over the world for their heroics and their fans aren’t far behind them.

Last night the southern promise once again performed some heroics that begged belief. Despite missing a large chunk of their team due to the Autumn internationals and with the Maori All Blacks coming off a thumping of international side, the USA Eagles, Munster once again did the impossible.

Maori head coach Colin Cooper spoke after the game and bestowed the highest compliment possible to the mythical province.

They played really good footie,” said Cooper.

“We have been really impressed with the whole set up here in Munster, with the locals and with how knowledgeable they are and how rugby passionate.

I thought I was in New Zealand…I can see why a lot of Maori boys want to come play over here. Their culture is the same as our culture.”
