Citing Commissioner Rules On McKenzie Clash With Jack O’Donoghue

Edinburgh player Fraser McKenzie has been cited for dangerous play as a result of an incident involving Munster’s Jack O’Donoghue.

The second-row was yellow carded during the 12th minute of the game at Thomond Park for dangerous shoulder charge into the neck of Jack O’Donoghue, which saw the Munster flanker stretchered off.

In a statement, the Pro12 citing commissioner confirmed,

“A citing has occurred as a result of the Munster Rugby v Edinburgh Rugby game at Thomond Park Stadium, Limerick in Round 4, September 24, 2016,”

“Fraser McKenzie, second row, for Edinburgh Rugby has been cited by the Citing Commissioner in charge for alleged dangerous play in the 12th minute against a Munster player under Law 10.4 (h) (k) – Charging into a Ruck and Dangerous Play.

“A disciplinary hearing will be held in Cardiff on Wednesday, September 28, 2016.”
