Well deserved.
Ireland boss Joe Schmidt has been named 2018 World Rugby Coach of the Year after an incredible year with the men in green.
Schmidt guided Ireland to back-to-back clean sweeps in November, including a victory over world champions the All Blacks, and guided Ireland to a first series victory against the Wallabies in Australia in nearly forty years, as well as winning a Six Nations Grand Slam.
No man more deserving. Schmidt wasn’t present to accept the award in Monte Carlo with Peter O’Mahony accepting it on his behalf.
