Ulster are set to confirm the signing of Australian international outhalf Christian Lealiifano in time for the new Pro14 season.
BBC Sport NI are reporting that a deal is close, with Ulster set to confirm the signing in the coming days. The 29-year-old has won 19 caps for the Wallabies and recently returned after recovering from leukaemia.
Lealiifano can play at ten or in midfield and is set to cover the void left by Ireland international Paddy Jackson as he deals with legal proceedings.
A huge boost for Ulster fans after yesterday’s devastating news that Charles Piutau will be leaving at the end of the season.
