Your Guide To What Rugby’s On This Weekend & Where You Can Watch It

Here we go again.

After a thrilling opening round to the season, especially in England, rugby returns to our screens this weekend with another round of pulsating action.

We’re spoilt for choice this weekend, with PRO14, Aviva Premiership, Top 14 and Rugby Championship action all hitting our tv screens throughout the weekend.

PRO14

Some exciting ties to look forward to in the PRO14 this weekend as the South Africans continue their tour of the north, before they head home for round 3. The Cheetahs will get to experience Thomond Park, while the Southern Kings will be in Galway to take on Connacht.

Other exciting ties in the round include Ospreys taking on Glasgow at Scotstoun and Richard Cockerill’s Edinburgh hosting Bernard Jackman’s Dragons at Myreside.

Aviva Premiership

If this weekend is anything like round one, we’re in for another hell of a round of rugby. 50 tries last weekend absolutely smashed the old opening round record, and hopefully there’s plenty more where that came from.

The ties of the round are without doubt Bath vs Saracens and a cracker at Franklin’s Gardens between Northampton and Leicester.

Top 14

Another round of French action kicks-off with a belter between champions Clermont and last season’s table-toppers La Rochelle.

Two games are televised this weekend, with Castres hosting Montpellier on Saturday and Toulouse taking on Toulon on Sunday. Both live on Sky Sports.

The Rugby Championship

The southern hemisphere’s premier international rugby competition returns this weekend with two more belters. Can the Pumas cause a massive upset as they take on the All Blacks in their backyard? Probably not… but it’ll be entertaining!

The big game sees Australia take on South Africa at 11.00 on Sky Sports Action. Both sides are enjoying a bit of a resurgence, and this should make for an absolute belter.
