Bring it on.
Super Rugby winning Crusaders coach Scott Robertson is set to be handed the Barbarians job ahead of their upcoming tour, which sees them take on the All Blacks. Robertson will be joined by former Crusaders and Wallabies boss Robbie Deans according to The Rugby Paper.
The coaching ticket is set to be named next month, with the Baa Baas set to take on Steve Hansen’s New Zealand in just under ten weeks time.
The Rugby Paper are also reporting that Lions players may be involved for an unofficial ‘4th Test,’ with a Barbarians official stating they have an agreement with Premiership Rugby to access their players.
“We have not ruled out the possibility of some Lions being involved” a Barbarians spokesman revealed.
“We are in conversation with the Unions and confident that we shall be able to secure a very strong squad.”
“We are certainly not resigned to being without any Lions. Despite what some people may say, we haven’t been told to get lost. Far from it. We have an agreement with Premier Rugby for access to their players.”
