Watch: Video Emerges Of Sensational Tom Youngs Try From When He Was A Back

What a try.

Once upon a time England, Lions and Leicester hooker was a centre before switching to the front row. The 5’9, 102kg star switched positions thanks to advice from then Tigers coach Heyneke Meyer.

The move to hooker obviously paid off as Youngs has carved out a pretty successful career ever since the switch with 28 caps for England as well as being selected to tour with the Lions to Australia in 2013.

House of Rugby is back with a brand new URC show – hosted by RugbyLAD founder Jason Hennessy, Ireland international Megan Williams and Olympic sevens star, Greg O'Shea. Follow and subscribe to it HERE.

What may surprise you however is that Youngs was actually a pretty decent back as illustrated in the video below. The young star, seen here playing on the wing shows his fancy footwork in a well executed finish.
