What a game of rugby.
Toulon took on Wasps in France this evening in a thrilling Champions Cup game that saw Toulon snatch victory from under the noses of Wasps in the final seconds of the much anticipated tie.
Guy Thompson thought he had won the game for Toulon with a fantastic try in the 70th minute, blasting through five tackles with a fantastic effort. Toulon however played until the very death and broke Wasp’s fans hearts when Drew Mitchell found a gap in their defence.
The result leaves Toulon top of the table just a point ahead of Wasps with the English side having home advantage next week.
“Incredible!” @RCTofficiel‘s @drew_mitchell breaks @WaspsRugby‘s hearts. #ChampionsCup https://t.co/Sl33YS2lHV
