Munster Rugby take note.
Ulster Rugby have kept Irish interest in the Champions Cup alive this evening thanks to a remarkable second-half comeback. The Northern province were decimated in the first half by Top 14 side Oyonnax. Oyonnax put up a score of 23-0 to lead after the opening 40 minutes, but Ulster never gave up and played right until the final whistle.
Ruan Pienaar, Paddy Jackson, and Nick Williams all came on in the second-half, helping Ulster scored three tries to bring them back into it. Paddy Jackson then stepped up and showed nerves of steel in the final minutes to give Ulster a 23-24 win with a 53 metre kick.
Ulster showed the kind of resolved that Munster not too long ago became famous for. It’s a pity they didn’t show it yesterday. Ulster now remain the only Irish province left in the Champions Cup this season. We’re confident, Ireland will be behind them. #SUFTUM
