Tadhg Furlong is a once in a generation player. The Ireland tighthead has completely changed the game in the last couple of years, completely redefining the role of a tighthead prop.
Just like the likes of Keith Wood and Dane Coles did for hookers, Furlong has proved a front-row can be so much more that what has been traditionally expected of them over the years.
Along with his excellent scrummaging skills, he can pass, he can carry, he can work as a playmaker, he can do it all. His work-rate in defence is incredible, and his skill with the ball in hand begs belief.
Furlong once again showed off his brilliant dance moves at Ireland’s homecoming dinner last night.
