Whoops.
Sky Sports presenter Alex Payne got a little too excited at the RDS yesterday. The regular rugby host was joined by former Ireland international and Scott Quinnell for coverage of Leinster’s clash with Ulster, and suffered a rather unfortunate accident.
On the pitch, Leinster came out on top in an absolute demolition, thanks mainly to the tricky feet of youngster Jordan Larmour, who would “step you in a phone box” according to teammate Scott Fardy. But it appears Payne’s feet may have let him down after the game.
In a clip uploaded by Scott Quinnell, Payne tripped backwards and fell down the stairs behind him, but somehow managed to stay professional and continue his job, and thankfully wasn’t injured.
Brilliant stuff. Have a watch below.
