For anyone that isn’t aware World Rugby have introduced law changes that will come into effect this year.
The new laws will come into effect throughout this year as we begin a new Rugby World Cup cycle. While many of the changes remain in the trial phase across a number of competitions around the globe, some of the new laws governing the maul, scrum, offside line and clean out have already been introduced in Super Rugby.
According to World Rugby the aim of these new laws is to create a safer and more attacking based game across the board. Many will disagree with some of the variations, but whether we like it or not, these laws are about to become a reality worldwide.
