Rugby did itself proud again last night.
Munster once again proved to the world, they are not to be taken lightly. Once again the famous southern province welcomed and defeated on of rugby’s international mega powers.
Over the years the likes of the All Blacks and the Wallabies have visited Thomond Park and walked away empty handed, the Maori All Blacks were no different last night. Running in four tries in a famous victory, last night we once again witnessed history.
What happened before the rugby however, is what has everyone talking. Maori All Blacks captain Ash Dixon approached the Munster faithful, laying out one of their jersey’s with Anthony Foley’s initials on the back, in tribute to the late rugby star, before laying down the challenge with their world famous haka.
Dixon then presented the special jersey to Foley’s two sons, Dan and Tony.
A truly special moment, that transcended the rugby that followed. Maori All Blacks, we salute you. Absolutely top class.
