Harlequins and Wales centre Jamie Roberts togged out today for Cambridge in a Varsity game.
The Lions centre, who is studying medicine at Cambridge, had 7 inches and 4st 8lbs on his opposite number and it showed.
Cambridge got the ball into Roberts’ hands in the opening few mins and his opposite number found out what its like to take on a Lions centre.
The LAD was slow to get up and needed prompt treatment. He was eventually taken the sideline, probably wondering what hit him.
Roberts himself had to go off with a dead leg in the second half – something his new club, Harlequins will not be pleased with.
