Watch: France Try To Take Johnny Sexton Out With Late Hit

The French made no secret of that fact that they intended to target Johnny Sexton during today’s game.

Ireland currently lead 3-9 in a bruising encounter with Johnny Sexton clearly being targeted throughout the game. After just 13 minutes Sexton was clattered off the ball by Yoann Maestri.(Watch in the clip below)

Ireland have no doubt had the upper hand so far and will be disappointed not to be leading by more going into the second-half in Paris. Let’s hope Ireland can protect Sexton in the second-half having already lost both Sean O’Brien and Dave Kearney already to injury.
