British and Irish Lions coach Warren Gatland has described England captain Dylan Hartley as a man who has the right qualities needed to lead his side in New Zealand next year.
Gatland was appointed Lions head coach on Wednesday for the second successive tour and has backed the current England captain to lead the Lions, potentially dropping a huge hint in the process.
Many have speculated that Sam Warburton will once again lead the Lions, but these latest comments suggest otherwise. Other players mentioned include Maro Otojoe, who has been back by former England and Lions flanker Lewis Moody.
